Often when I shop at Hometown Harvest, I'll run into local farmers and producers delivering their meat, produce, honey, and other items. The store brings in other regional groceries such as milk, yogurt, and specialty items from Colorado. They'll special order cases of product by request, offer a great discount to members, and have introduced me to many items I now love. I'm one of the founding board members and love the store and the community around it.
As both a customer, producer, and volunteer I love this store. I can find local products, bulk spices, specialty food items (think gluten-free or other allergies), grass-fed meats, organic foods, and my all time favorite: case goods. I found this store consistently beats big-box stores prices when you order by the case. It has allowed me to switch many of my grocery items to organic and save money while doing it. A huge plus when I am feeding a family of four on a tight budget.
We love Hometown Harvest! My husband and I buy 100% of our grocery items from there. They are a great source of good organic produce which is really hard to find in this area! They are wonderfully helpful and will bend over backwards to get you what you want. We mostly place custom orders for bulk items like sugar, flour and rice and as members of the Co-Op we get 20% off the retail price. You can also find lots of local products from local producers! Deeply grateful to have this gem in our community.
Hometown Harvest provides amazing products and even more amazing service. They support and promote local producers, farmers and small business owners. This small town store is a "must stop and visit" when you are in the Wyo-Braska area.
